After your first offer

Where your money ends up

Read lopsided balances without worrying, steer where the cash tends to land by choosing which side goes in each book, and move money from a finished book to your next offer.

Why the money moves

In every pair one bet wins and one loses. The winning book pays out stake plus winnings and the losing book keeps its stake, so the cash ends up at whichever book had the winning side. A pair fixes your total, not where it sits.

Say Book A and Book B hold $500 each. You bet $100 on Team X at +105 at A and $110 on Team Y at -115 at B. If X wins, A holds $605 and B $390. If Y wins, A holds $400 and B $595.65. Either way you are down about $5, the hold. The gap between the books is the same money in a different app.

So watch the total: "Total Balance" in Bankroll (free with an account). Each book's card shows where the cash sits today.

Steer it with which side goes where

You cannot choose which side wins, only which side goes in which book. That tilts the likely result toward the book you want.

  • Favorite at the book you want to fill. The favorite is the minus price, the bigger stake and the likelier winner.
  • Underdog at the book you want to draw down. When it loses, the more likely result, that book gives up its stake.
  • Want them level? Mix sides: never every underdog in one book, and prefer pairs near even money.
  • Skip heavy favorites. While learning, skip cash-pair sides shorter than about -300. At -1100 you put $1,100 down to move $100.
  • Thin book? Bet $25 to $100 pieces on different games (How much to bet).

Watch out: never bet one side alone, or pick a side on a hunch, to push money into a book. Steering only changes where the likely result lands.

The rollover book is your primary book

A book with rollover running is your primary book. Only cash bets count toward rollover, so give it the bigger cash leg, the favorite: more goes through the book that needs it, and the likelier win keeps it funded. Stay near even money, since at many books a winning favorite counts only its winnings.

If the rollover book runs dry anyway, that is expected: the winning legs landed at your other book, and the cycle is over. Close it out as in When something goes wrong.

Watch out: never deposit more into a drained book to rescue its bonus. You would take on the rest of the rollover, and its hold, with no bonus left to pay for it.

Worked example: two books, four pairs

Book A has a rollover running; Book B is your hedge book. Each starts with $600, and B's stakes are rounded to $5.

PairBet at ABet at BWinnerA / B afterTotal
Start$600 / $600$1,200
1+120, $100-130, $125B's favorite$500 / $696.15$1,196.15
2+135, $100-145, $140B's favorite$400 / $792.71$1,192.71
3-130, $130+120, $105A's favorite$500 / $687.71$1,187.71
4-140, $140+130, $105A's favorite$600 / $582.71$1,182.71

Pairs 1 and 2 put the underdog at A, the drift to avoid: A fell to $400 while the total barely moved. From pair 3 A takes the favorite, both favorites win, and A is back to $600. The four pairs cost $17.29 in hold, and every leg at A counted toward its rollover.

Had the underdog won pair 3, $130 would have left A and B would have gained $126. Plan for that: keep steering, or move money with a withdrawal and a deposit.

When a book is finished, move the money on

A book is finished when it has no open bets, no unused bonus bets and no rollover left.

  1. 1Ask its live chat "What promotions are available to me right now?", including reload bonuses (a bonus on a later deposit).
  2. 2Keep enough in your books to fund the offers and rollovers you are working next, and withdraw the rest. Never take everything out mid-cycle.
  3. 3Work one or two offers at a time, and fund the books those offers need from the finished one. A withdrawal usually takes 1 to 3 business days, so start a few days ahead (Cash out and track it).
