How much to bet

Pick a stake for every pair you place after the welcome offers, and size a deposit match to a rollover you can finish in time.

Start from your bankroll

Your bankroll is everything you have set aside for this, across every book. Each pair (one bet on each side of a game, at two books) starts from one round stake you choose; the other bet is sized from it.

Your bankrollYour stake per pair
About $1,000$50 to $100
About $3,000$100 to $300
About $4,000$200 to $400
Any sizeRarely over $1,000

Too small costs time: at $50 a pair, an $11,000 rollover takes 220 pairs; at $250, 44.

Keep pairs near even money. While you are learning, skip any side priced shorter than about -300: $300 at -300 wins only $100.

At a new account

For the first couple of weeks at a new book, keep bets to about $200 to $300 on main games, or less if your row above says so. You are still learning that app, and a wrong tap costs less on a smaller bet.

Watch out: some apps change the team or reset the stake when you press continue. Read the side and the stake again on the confirm screen, not just the slip.

Start from the book with the lower max

Put your round stake on the book with the lower max bet, and size the other side from it. To find a max, type a very large stake into the bet slip without placing it; the book tells you the most it will take.

Say your match book takes up to $250 at +105, and your second book has the other side at -110. The $250 goes at the match book; the second bet works out to $268.45. Type it as $268, never cents: you are down $5.50 or $6.36 depending on which side wins, instead of $5.95 either way (a hold of about 1.2%).

Sizes the second bet from the stake you choose.

  1. 1.Once: account menu > Settings > "Default Bet Size" = your stake from the table, so "Bet Size" starts there.
  2. 2."Single book": "Primary Book" = the book with the lower max, "Bet Size" = your stake or that max, whichever is lower.
  3. 3."Min Odds" -200 and "Max Odds" 200, so neither side is a heavy favorite.
  4. 4.Take the top row, place both bets, then click the green bookmark ("Add to Tracker").

When a book's cash is thin, split it

Bet the same total in $25 to $100 pieces on different games. One losing $400 bet empties a book holding $400; as four $100 bets, it takes four losses in a row. Grow the stake back as the balance grows. A book drifting down for a few days is money moving to your other book, not a loss: Where your money ends up.

Never bet bigger to finish faster

What a rollover costs depends on how much you put through, not how many bets: at the prices above, $11,000 costs about $262 as 44 pairs of $250 and about $262 as 11 pairs of $1,000. Bigger bets only save clicks and add swing: one losing $1,000 bet empties a book holding $1,000, with the rollover unfinished.

Stay in your row of the table, and don't shrink stakes after a losing run either: the money is at your other book, not gone.

Size a deposit match you can clear

Before you take a deposit match, divide its rollover by the days you have to get a daily number.

  1. 1A $500 deposit with a $500 bonus at 11x deposit plus bonus is ($500 + $500) × 11 = $11,000 of betting.
  2. 2Over 30 days that is about $367 a day: one or two $250 pairs. A 7-day window makes it $1,571 a day, more than 6 of those pairs.
  3. 3At the pair above, each $250 costs $5.95, so the $11,000 costs about $262 and leaves about $238 of the $500 bonus.

If the daily number is more than your stakes and balances can place, deposit less: a $250 deposit with a $250 bonus at 11x is $5,500, about $183 a day. You never have to deposit up to the cap. If the hold would eat most of the bonus, skip the match: depositing less shrinks both together. A bigger match, say $22,500 over 30 days, is $750 a day: 3 pairs of $250 every day, with the cash at both books to cover them.

Enter the rollover once; Bankroll counts your logged bets toward it as they settle.

  1. 1."Add Deposit": the book, "Deposit Amount" 500, "Site Credit" 500, "Rollover Multiplier" 11; "Total Rollover" fills in 11000. If your terms count the bonus only, type the dollar figure there instead.
  2. 2.Once a week, type the book's own wagered-so-far figure into "Edit" > "Rollover Completion", then divide what is left by the days left.

Watch out: bonus not released by the deadline is typically forfeited, and a book that runs dry can't finish. Falling behind? When something goes wrong.
