Pick the book holding your bonus bet and its size; it ranks every hedge by how much of the bonus you keep.
- 1.Under "Books", make sure FanDuel and the books you can bet the other side at are switched on.
- 2.Set "Select Free Bet Book" to FanDuel and "Free Bet Size" to your bonus bet's amount. If the terms cap bonus-bet odds, type the cap into "Max Odds".
- 3.Take the top row: the bonus bet at FanDuel first, then the other side at the stake shown.
- 4.Click the green bookmark ("Add to Tracker") to log both bets.
Where it fits
Your hedge book: the book where you bet the other side of offers at your other books. Keep it funded the whole time. Its bet slip shows your max bet before you place, which is why it anchors every hedge. It is also one of the two first offer books, with DraftKings.
You get one welcome offer per book. Sign up with your real details, and you must be in a state where FanDuel is licensed when you bet.
How its offers work
- The current offer: bet $5 on each of five days and get a $50 bonus bet for each qualifying day, win or lose, up to $250. The shape of this offer changes often, so check which version the app shows before you deposit.
- Each $50 bonus bet is its own conversion. FanDuel bonus bets expire 7 days after they land, so convert each within a day or two, soonest-expiring first.
- Some accounts later get extra bonus bets, no-sweat bets or profit boosts (more boosts in football season). Take them when they come, but do not plan around them.
Odds cap on bonus bets. None on record. FanDuel has accepted bonus bets at +370, so the usual +250 to +400 range is fair game.
Practical details
- Type a very large stake, like 100000, into the bet slip. It replies with your max wager on that line, so you know a big hedge will fit.
- Bonus bets sit in a rewards list on the bet slip. Select the reward and add it before you place the bet.
- On a computer you need the location plugin; the phone app has it built in.
Cashing out. Nothing has to be bet through first, so money here is free to take out, and withdrawing does not affect your betting there. Licensed books usually pay out within 1 to 3 business days, and PayPal linked to your bank is often the fastest. Cash out and track it

I already had a FanDuel account. Now what? Expect no welcome offer on an old account. Fund it anyway: it is still your hedge book, and every other book's welcome offer is still open to you.
All my money ended up in FanDuel. Is that bad? No. The other side kept winning, that is all. Nothing here has to be bet through first. It is your hedge book, so keep what your next offers need here, and move or withdraw the rest.
Watch out: confirm the offer applies to your account before the first bet, even when it shows on screen. Ask support if you are not sure.
