Using BreadSync

How your numbers are calculated

Balance is money available or committed. Profit is a recorded result. ROI is profit divided by a particular stake total. Use this reference when two BreadSync screens show different numbers.

Written and reviewed by Content updated How we calculate and verify

These are BreadSync's tracking rules, not a sportsbook's withdrawal approval. Calculations use your saved records and USD-notional amounts. A CAD placement amount is not a second stake to add. Missing bets, incorrect funding types and duplicate credits change the result.

Available, pending and total balance

Without a balance override, a book's Balance is cash deposits + Site Credit + settled bet profit − withdrawals − open cash stakes. BreadSync rounds it to cents and floors it at $0. An unused bonus token is separate from this cash calculation.

Balance labels and what they count
NumberWhat it includes
Book Balance / top-card PlayableCash available for another bet in the tracker. Playable sums the balances of active books.
Top-card PendingOpen cash stakes at active books. Bonus-bet stakes are excluded.
Total BalancePlayable + Pending. It adds open cash stakes back at their stake value, not their possible payout.
Pending on an individual book cardAll that book’s open stakes, including bonus bets. This activity figure can exceed the cash counted in top-card Pending.
Bonus Bets / Bonus Bet RemainingRecorded unused token value. It is neither playable cash nor realized profit.
In RolloverPlayable cash at active books whose recorded completion is below their recorded rollover target. The sportsbook decides actual restrictions.

Example: $500 deposited + $25 Site Credit + $100 settled bet profit, with $80 of cash still staked, gives $545 Playable, $80 Pending and $625 Total Balance. Another $100 in unused bonus bets does not make that total $725.

Watch out: Total Balance covers active books, but Total Profit and its deposit total use all recorded history. Hiding or deactivating a book does not erase its results. A $0 floor can also hide a negative underlying calculation; it does not prove that missing records are correct.

Cash and bonus profit by status

For a stake S, winnings before supported fee adjustments are S × odds ÷ 100 at positive American odds, or S × 100 ÷ |odds| at negative odds. A win contributes those winnings; a cash loss contributes −S; a bonus loss or push contributes $0. The table uses a hypothetical $100 stake at +150, no fees, and normal settlement. A returned cash stake is not winnings.

$100 at +150: cash profit under each settlement status
StatusCash-funded ticketStake-not-returned bonus ticket
OpenNo settled profit. $100 is deducted from available cash.No settled profit. The token is used; no $100 cash deduction.
Won+$150 profit. The sportsbook returns $250 including the cash stake.+$150 cash profit. The $100 token is not returned.
Lost−$100 profit.$0 cash profit. The used token is lost, not another $100 cash loss.
Push$0 profit; the cash stake is no longer pending.$0 cash profit. Check whether the sportsbook returns the token.
VoidExcluded from profit totals; the cash stake is no longer pending.Excluded from profit totals. Check token return and expiry separately.

BreadSync applies supported fee and payout-rounding rules when calculating a win. Compare the recorded result with the actual receipt. Marking a bonus ticket Push or Void does not confirm a token was reissued; reconcile Bonus Bet Remaining against the sportsbook. Manual grading changes the recorded ticket, not the sportsbook's settlement.

Site Credit is not Free Bet Bonus

How each funding entry affects the tracker
EntryCash balanceReported profit
Deposit AmountAdds your deposited cash. Not profit.
Site CreditAdds a credited cash bonus.Added on the entry’s recorded date, even if withdrawal restrictions remain.
Free Bet BonusAdds token value to the bonus balance, not cash.No profit when issued. A winning bonus bet later contributes its cash winnings.
WithdrawalSubtracts cash when recorded. Not a new loss, and receiving it at your bank is not a new win.

A $50 cash bonus belongs in Site Credit once. A $50 bonus token belongs in Free Bet Bonus, not both fields. For a reward without a deposit, use a $0 Deposit Amount. An expected reward is not a credited reward.

Profit, wagered, ROI and win rate by screen

In the settled metrics below, Won, Lost and Push count; Open and Void do not. Stakes include bonus-bet face amounts unless a row says otherwise. That means Wagered is activity, not necessarily cash risked. A percentage with a zero denominator displays 0%.

Metric definitions by screen
SurfaceCalculation
Bankroll: Total ProfitAll settled bet profit + all positive Site Credit entries. The percentage below it is profit ÷ cash deposited, not profit ÷ stakes.
Dashboard: Today’s P&L and ROIToday’s settled bet profit + today’s Site Credit; ROI divides that total by today’s settled stakes.
Dashboard: Today’s Staked / Win RateStaked sums settled stakes. Win Rate = Won ÷ (Won + Lost + Push). The displayed W/L record omits pushes.
Dashboard: selected-day Wagered and ROIWagered sums every displayed ticket, including Open and Void. ROI divides that day’s profit by this broader total.
Dashboard: open potentialAdds each open ticket’s potential winnings as if each won. Opposite tickets cannot normally all win, so this is not a hedge’s projected profit.
Analytics: OverviewFor the selected range, profit includes Site Credit. Total Wagered and Total Bets use settled, non-void tickets; Win Rate includes pushes in its denominator.
Analytics: Profit by SportsbookSettled bet profit per book, without Site Credit. It need not add up to Overview’s Total Profit.
Analytics: activity chartsBets by Sport and Bet Type include open and void tickets in the selected range. Their counts need not match Overview’s settled Total Bets.

For example, $20 settled profit on $100 settled stakes is 20% top-card ROI. If the selected day also displays a $100 open ticket, its footer divides $20 by $200 and shows 10%. Adding a voided ticket to that day also changes its displayed stake denominator, not its profit.

Dates and the Bankroll graph

  • Dashboard and profit-chart days use the saved event date first, then settlement date, then placed date. Open bets use event date or placed date.
  • Analytics admits bets to a date range using settlement date, or placed date if absent. Its charts can then put an admitted bet on the event date. A range boundary can therefore differ from the Dashboard calendar.
  • This Week starts Sunday; This Month starts on the first. Site Credit uses its recorded deposit-entry date. Calendar days follow local dates.
  • Net Profit is cumulative settled profit plus Site Credit. The Bankroll graph is cumulative cash deposits − withdrawals + that profit within the chosen range. It does not include a starting balance from before the range or use balance overrides.

The Bankroll graph is not the top-card Playable balance: it does not subtract open cash stakes. Use the book cards for currently available cash, and the sportsbook for its actual withdrawable amount.

One book's result versus the pair

Suppose a $100 bonus bet at +250 is paired with $187.50 cash at −300. If the bonus wins, that book records +$250 and the hedge book records −$187.50: +$62.50 combined. If the cash side wins, it records +$62.50 and the losing bonus records $0: the same combined result. This assumes accepted stakes and matching win/loss settlement rules.

Both outcomes have one won ticket and one lost ticket, so this pair's win rate is 50%. Settled Wagered includes $100 + $187.50 = $287.50, giving about 21.74% stake-based ROI. Bonus conversion is a different ratio: $62.50 ÷ $100 = 62.5%. None of those percentages says how much cash is available at either book afterward.

A book card's Profit includes that book's Site Credit; a hedge's result is its component bet profits. Do not add another invented winning bet for the pair, or count the winning leg's full payout as pair profit.

Balance overrides set a new starting point

Editing Balance creates a timestamped cash anchor. The card adds later deposits or Site Credit and subtracts later withdrawals. Cash bets placed after the anchor deduct their stake while open and contribute net profit once settled. It does not reconstruct earlier history or change historical profit. For transactions dated on the anchor day, their entry-creation time determines whether they count after it.

A cash bet already open at the anchor is different: its stake is assumed to have been deducted from the available balance you entered. On later settlement, a win adds stake + profit, a loss adds $0, and a push returns the stake. Bonus bets add only their cash profit, never a returned token stake. Void contributes $0: a later void does not automatically restore a cash stake deducted before the anchor.

Example: set a $400 available-cash anchor while a recorded $100 cash bet at +150 is already open. Its later win adds the $250 payout, giving $650; a loss leaves $400, and a push gives $500. If that same bet is placed after the $400 anchor, available cash first falls to $300; a win then gives $550, equivalent to the anchor plus $150 net profit.

Watch out: While an override is active, every Save Changes in that book's Edit window creates a new anchor, even if you changed only its label, bonus balance or rollover. Use a settled checkpoint with transfers and refunds reconciled. Missing tickets, incorrect placement or settlement times, and a pre-anchor stake later voided can still make the anchored calculation disagree with the sportsbook.

Normal Add Deposit, Add Withdrawal and bet logging do not reset the anchor. Remove override returns to the complete recorded history; use it only when that history is complete. Follow the settled starting-balance steps instead of adding fake deposits or credits to force a match.

Imports change the same calculations

Imported stakes, statuses, funding flags and dates enter the same totals. An OddsJam row with market_name Bonus and bet_name Cash becomes a Site Credit entry, not a normal bet. The CSV does not reconstruct ordinary deposits and withdrawals; add only real missing transactions.

The importer supplies a settlement date from its event date or, if absent, its created date. That can move history between reporting days. BreadSync also checks won/lost profit against its stake, odds, bonus and supported fee calculations when records load; imported profit is not an immutable statement balance. Check a sample of cash wins, cash losses and bonus losses after importing.

Importing the same CSV twice duplicates bets and detected credits. Different sportsbook names can also split records between book entries. A JSON restore has different identity rules; see Import and backup before choosing a method. Neither method creates missing sportsbook transactions or proves an offer is complete.

To investigate a mismatch, use the tracker checklist and reconcile a complete session. Check receipts and records before changing a balance.
