Set up
Pick your state, decide what you can set aside, open two sportsbook apps and fund them. BreadSync works out the deposits for you.
Your state
You can only bet at books licensed in the state you are standing in. Pick it once and the rest of the docs use your books.
The list is in the order to work them in: the simplest bonus-bet offer first, then the cheapest to the most expensive. Offers change, so the amounts are estimates. Work one or two offers at a time, not all of them at once.
How much to start with
Most people start with $1,000 to $2,000, and about $2,000 is typical. It is not spent the way a bet is: it moves between books as each game finishes, and you take it back out when you are done. A smaller amount unlocks the same bonus; what gets hard is the other side. $150 in bonus bets at +250 needs about $281 in cash at -300 at your second book, so with a few hundred dollars, finish one offer before you open the next.
- Decide the total up front, not as you go. Work one or two offers at a time and fund the books those offers need; the rest waits for the next offer on your plan.
- Keep a reserve outside the books. Never deposit your last dollar or money you need for bills.
- A bigger amount lets you take the larger offers in full and bet bigger pairs (How much to bet). It does not change the steps.

Your two apps
Your first book holds the offer. Your second book is where the cash side of each bet goes, so it stays funded while you work through your plan. A big, familiar app with every main game, like FanDuel or DraftKings, makes the easiest second book.
- Sign up with your real name, address and date of birth. Books check identity by law.
- Have a valid, unexpired photo ID. With an expired one, a book can hold your first withdrawal until the replacement arrives.
- Allow location. The phone app does it for you; on a computer the book asks you to install a small location plugin first.
- Opt in to each book's welcome offer when you sign up. You get one per book, and an account you opened years ago usually does not qualify, though it still works as your second book.
- Read your second book's offer before your first bet there, in case that first bet is the one its offer rewards.
Watch out: you must be physically in the state when you bet. Never use a VPN, anyone else's account or anyone else's details.
Put money in
PayPal or Venmo linked to your checking account is the fastest both ways. Online banking works too. A debit card is fine for deposits but slower to withdraw to. Avoid credit cards: many are declined, and some banks charge a sportsbook deposit as a cash advance.
Before any money goes in, read the offer on the book's promotions page: what kind of bonus it is, what the first bet has to be, and whether it needs a promo code. Paste any code before you type the amount.
