Rules you never break
Six rules every account depends on. They come from the law and from the books' own terms, and there is no way around any of them. Read them once, then check which books are licensed in your state before your first sign-up.
Watch out: breaking any of these can get an account closed and its balance held. No offer is worth that.
1. Licensed sportsbooks only
Use only sportsbooks licensed in the state you are in, like DraftKings, FanDuel or BetMGM, installed from the book's own site or your phone's app store. Which books are licensed differs by state, so check before you sign up.

Got a text or email offer? Open the book from your own bookmark or app and look for it there, or ask live chat if it is real, rather than tapping the link. If you never signed up with that book, ignore it.
2. Your own name, your own money
Sign up with your real name, home address and date of birth, and the details the book asks for. Books verify who you are by law, and often again at your first withdrawal, so keep a valid, unexpired photo ID ready. Deposit only from accounts in your own name.
Never open an account for someone else, never use someone else's, and never let anyone use yours. Books close linked accounts and can hold the money in them.
3. One account per book
Each person gets one account at each book, and one welcome offer. If you already have an account somewhere, you usually will not get that book's welcome offer again, and you should not open a second account to try. Keep the old one: it still works as your second book, the one where you bet the other side.
4. Be in the state when you bet
Licensed books check your location before they take a bet. Phone apps do it for you; a desktop site asks you to install a small location plugin once per device. That is normal. You must be physically inside a state where the book is licensed. If you travel into one, you can use its books while you are there.
Never use a VPN, a location app or anything else that changes where you appear to be. It breaks the book's terms and can get the account frozen.
5. 21 and over
BreadSync is for adults 21 and over, and most states set 21 as the legal age for sports betting. The book checks your age when it verifies your identity.
6. Report your winnings
