After your first offer · Lesson 5 of 5
Reconcile a session before starting another
Reconcile means make the records agree. Compare the same books over the same time window, account for every cash movement, and separate settled cash profit from unused bonus tokens.
The scenario: a withdrawal is not your result
You start a hypothetical session with $200 cash at Book A and $300 at Book B, no open bets and no pending transfers. Book A also holds an unrelated $10 bonus token that you will not use in this session. These are existing balances, not new deposits to enter.
During the session you deposit $100 of new cash at B, complete one example promotion, move $100 from A through your bank into B, and withdraw another $50 from B. Both withdrawals reach your bank and the redeposit posts. All three bets settle. You finish with $170 cash at A and $391.67 at B, plus that unchanged $10 token. There are no fees, other cash credits or other transactions in this example.
Your decision: did you earn the $150 withdrawn, the $61.67 increase in book balances, or $11.67? Choose before reading the ledger. What must you check if one ticket or transfer is still pending?
First decide whether this session can be closed
Use a start and end time with all bets settled and transfers completed. Save the opening cash for each book before the new activity. At the end, check each sportsbook's settled receipts and each completed bank transaction. Use the same accounts and time window throughout.
Watch out: if a bet is open, stop this final cash-profit check. Do not label its deducted stake a loss, add it back as a known payout, or mark it Won because a calculator projected a positive result. Wait for settlement. If a withdrawal has left the sportsbook but not reached your bank, keep it noted as in transit and finish this simple check after it resolves.
You can still record and investigate pending activity. You just cannot call the whole session settled. For mismatched voids, missing receipts or changed results, use the recovery guide.
Check the actual records in BreadSync
- 1In My Bets, choose “All Bets”. Set Date to “All dates” and Status to “All statuses” if a ticket seems missing, then clear other filters. Find every accepted ticket in this session before deciding one is absent.
- 2Match each ticket's sportsbook, event, side, accepted odds, stake and “Bonus Bet” flag to its receipt. Correct an existing entry instead of adding a duplicate. Only log a missing bet after checking the full list.
- 3After the sportsbook settles a ticket, use its pencil (“Edit bet”) if the status needs correcting. Expand game details, set the receipt's Won, Lost, Push or Void status, then “Save Changes”. Check both sides separately; leave genuinely open tickets open.
- 4In Bankroll, expand each book's “Activity”. Match deposits and withdrawals to their actual amounts and dates. Use the transaction's pencil to correct an error. Use “Add Deposit” or “Add Withdrawal” only for a real movement not already logged.
- 5Compare the settled cash balances with the sportsbook, and unused tokens separately with the bonus balance. If a difference remains, look for a missing cash credit, wrong stake type, duplicate transaction or incorrect settlement. Keep the receipts and discrepancy for support if you cannot explain it.
BreadSync normally deducts open cash stakes from available balance. That is why the unsettled balance alone is not a final profit number. Logging a transaction does not move money at a sportsbook or bank.
Watch out: do not invent an initial deposit or overwrite a balance to make this session match. If you started tracking an existing account with a balance override, read the override and historical-profit caveats before using the book's “Edit” window. Saving that window can reset its starting point. A session reconciliation does not recreate lifetime Profit or Analytics.
Record both ends of a transfer, once
| Book | Completed movement | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Book B | Deposit: New cash deposited from your bank | $100.00 |
| Book A | Withdrawal: Transfer to your bank, received before the redeposit | $100.00 |
| Book B | Deposit: The same $100 redeposited from your bank | $100.00 |
| Book B | Withdrawal: Withdrawal received in your bank and kept there | $50.00 |
Total session deposits are $200: the new $100 plus the $100 redeposit. Total completed withdrawals are $150: the $100 transfer plus the $50 kept at your bank. The transferred $100 appears once on each side of the formula, so it adds $0 profit. Do not record the bank receipt as a second withdrawal or a winning bet.
Work the cash ledger all the way through
The example promotion awards a $25 token after a qualifying $5 cash bet, win or lose. That cash bet loses. The $25 bonus bet at +300 then wins $75; the $58.33 cash hedge at -350 loses. These are invented settled receipts, not a live offer or bets to place. The bonus stake is not returned, and its use does not deduct another $25 from cash.
| Settled ticket | Cash stake | Bonus stake | Cash payout | Cash result |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Book A: Qualifying cash bet, -110, lost | $5.00 | $0.00 | $0.00 | −$5.00 |
| Book A: Bonus bet, +300, won | $0.00 | $25.00 | $75.00 | +$75.00 |
| Book B: Cash hedge, -350, lost | $58.33 | $0.00 | $0.00 | −$58.33 |
Cash payout means money returned by the bet. A winning cash bet's payout includes its original stake; a winning bonus bet's payout does not include the token. Here, −$5 + $75 − $58.33 = $11.67 of settled cash profit.
| Cash ledger | Book A | Book B |
|---|---|---|
| Opening cash | $200.00 | $300.00 |
| + Session deposits | $0.00 | $200.00 |
| − Completed withdrawals | $100.00 | $50.00 |
| − Cash bet stakes | $5.00 | $58.33 |
| + Settled cash payouts | $75.00 | $0.00 |
| = Ending cash | $170.00 | $391.67 |
| Unused bonus tokens, excluded from cash | $10.00 | $0.00 |
The bonus ledger at A is separate: $10 already there + $25 awarded − $25 used = $10 unused. Keep its expiry recorded; do not add $10, or a guessed conversion value for it, to cash profit. This session is settled, but that unused token means not every future task at the book is finished.
Session cash profit = ending cash + completed session withdrawals − session deposits − opening cash.
$561.67 + $150.00 − $200.00 − $500.00 = $11.67. This independently matches the three settled bet results. It is not $150 of profit from withdrawals or $61.67 from comparing book balances alone.
The example has no fees and does not calculate taxes. In your own records, identify actual fees and other cash credits separately; do not subtract a fee twice if it is already reflected in the balances or net received amounts. If a transfer is not fully accounted for, resolve it before using this check. This is the session's cash result, not a tax-return calculation.
