Pick the book and your stake; it finds the bet-and-hedge pair that leaves the most whether the first bet wins or loses.
- 1.Set "Select Risk-Free Book" to theScore and "Risk-Free Stake" to the bet you want covered, up to the offer's cap for one bet.

How to work the $100 bonus bet offer
You need the small first bet here, plus cash at a second book for the other side of each bonus bet.
- 1Place the small first bet the offer asks for. If the bonus only comes when that bet wins, pick a heavy favorite.
- 2When the bonus bets land, use each on an underdog and bet the other team with cash at a second book. How
- 3Log both bets so you can see what you kept.

Where it fits
A quick offer book. theScore Bet is the new name for ESPN Bet, rebranded in December 2025. Nothing to play through, so it is an easy exit once the bonus is converted.
You get one welcome offer per book. Sign up with your real details, and you must be in a state where theScore Bet is licensed when you bet.
How its offers work
- Most states get First Bet Reset, a risk-free bet: if your first bet loses, the stake comes back as bonus bets, up to $1,000, paid as five bonus bets of 20% each. A $1,000 losing bet returns five $200 bonus bets. Check the live terms before you deposit.
- For the $1,000 reset, have about $1,000 here and about $1,200 at the book where you bet the other side, enough for a side up to about +150. It typically ends up at about 30% of the bet, around $300 on $1,000, estimated.
- Where the offer is bet $10, get $100 in bonus bets if the $10 wins, the $10 goes on its own, with nothing on the other side. If the terms set no minimum price on it, bet a heavy favorite at -2000 or heavier, found in the Live section. The $100 typically converts to about $55 to $70 in cash.
Odds cap on bonus bets. None on record. Check the offer terms, and if there is a cap, type it into "Max Odds" on the Free Bet view: the app does not set one for US books.
Practical details
- No opt-in has been visible for First Bet Reset. Ask live chat whether your first bet qualifies before you place it, and screenshot the answer.
- On the Odds Screen it is listed as "theScore" under "US Legal".
Cashing out. Licensed books usually pay out within 1 to 3 business days, and PayPal linked to your bank is often the fastest. Cash out and track it
Questions people ask
My reset came back as five bonus bets. Do I convert them together? No: one at a time, each as its own pair sized to that bonus bet, soonest-expiring first.
Why bet a -3500 favorite that wins 29 cents? On the $10 version you are buying the $100 in bonus bets, not the win. $10 at -3500 wins about 29 cents, and that is fine. A heavy favorite still loses now and then, so bet only the $10 the offer asks for.
Watch out: read the offer terms for odds limits, expiry dates and whether the first bet has to win.
