Why did only part of my bet count toward rollover?
The short answer
The offer may count something other than the full stake: the smaller of stake and winnings, a percentage of eligible action, or only certain markets and odds. Some rules also depend on the settled result. The amount you risked is not automatically the amount of rollover progress earned.
A $200 winning bet can contribute only $100
A $200 cash bet at -200 wins $100, with a $300 total payout including the returned stake. If the rule counts the lower of stake and winnings on a win, only $100 qualifies. Starting with $1,000 remaining, the counter falls to $900, not $800.
The table compares different possible rules, not three calculations to apply together. The total payout of $300 is not the winnings figure. Read whether a contribution percentage applies to stake or to another defined amount.
| Hypothetical contribution rule for that win | Amount counted | Requirement remaining |
|---|---|---|
| Full eligible stake | $200 | $800 |
| Lower of stake and winnings | $100 | $900 |
| 50% of that lower-of amount | $50 | $950 |

Do not infer the loss rule from the win rule
An outcome-dependent rule may count the full $200 after a loss but only $100 after that win. A rule based on the lower of risk and potential winnings for every wager could count $100 regardless of which side wins.
Pushes, voids, cash-outs and bonus-funded bets may have separate treatment. A wager can also be excluded by its odds, market or placement time. If it is still open, progress may simply be waiting for settlement.
Why BreadSync can show a different number
BreadSync’s automatic contribution uses the smaller of cash stake and recorded profit for a win, the cash stake for a loss or push, and zero for bonus bets, open bets and voids. That fixed tracking rule cannot represent every promotion.
Compare the sportsbook’s counter with one settled receipt and its terms. If they disagree with the tracker, reconcile the tracker to the verified progress. Do not place an extra bet just to make a confusing counter move.
The takeaway
Check the contribution rule and settlement status. More staked does not necessarily mean more qualifying progress.
Put it into practice
- Compare tracker and sportsbook progress
Understand automatic contribution and why the book’s terms decide eligibility.
- Check which wagers qualify
Read funding, odds, settlement and contribution restrictions together.
- Check bet profit versus payout
Returned stake is not winnings or extra profit.
